We will be hosting Wyewood's first Rapier Championship to be held at 2 P.M.  during the afternoon, prior to the feast.  I welcome all eligible participants to display their feats of valor and skill.  To be eligible to fight, the combatant must be authorized in Rapier combat and must also be either be a resident of the Shire of Wyewood or hold a piece of the Wye.
The tournament will be a London Master's Round Robin.  Each round, the combatants must fight in a different weapon combination, not to repeat any previous combination until after the 5 th fight, such as: Rapier & Open Hand, Rapier & Dagger, Rapier & Buckler, Rapier & Cane, Baton, or Scabbard, and Rapier & Cloak.
To all of Wyewood's skilled artisans, there will be display space available.  We ask that anyone who has learned how to create something this year, please bring it and share with the shire your new knowledge and enthusiasm.  The complexity or completeness of the project does not matter, please bring whatever inspires you.
Once again, we find ourselves drawing to the close of another bountiful year in Wyewood.  To celebrate, we will be hosting a Yule Feast to be held on the feast day of St.  Romaric, December the 8th.  Please come and be joyous and revel in the remembrance of a very eventful year! The feast will be held in the evening following at 6:30 P.M. after the rapier championship.  The feast is based off of an actual menu posted within Chepstow castle and is being coordinated by our very own Finnghuala inghean Lochlainn.  Finnghuala has said that there will be vegetarian dishes available! Remember to bring a hearty appetite and of course, feasting implements.  There will be limited off-board seating available.  Please contact the autocrat to set aside off-board space.
As most of our village is aware of now, our Royal Patrons have announced that they will be stepping down at the end of this year.  With this in mind, their Excellencies have decided that they will hold their last court as Royal Patrons at the Feast of St.  Romaric.
Court will be held at 5:00 pm after the Rapier Championship and before the feast.  Tithes to the kingdom are very welcome and will be accepted gratefully throughout the feast.
